West Coast Swing is a smooth and stylish partner dance which is danced on a slotted area.

Its main characteristic is a smooth elastic look due to the dances extension and compression techniques. The dance enables you to play and above all have fun with the music. West coast swing can be danced to various types of music including current chart music , RnB, Hip-Hop and Blues.

Classes are taught By Steve Hunt. Steve undertook extensive teacher training and private coaching in America from various US Open Swing dance champions Steve has a fun, dynamic approach to teaching which makes for a friendly social dance experience.

The WCS Southampton Team ensure that you learn a fantastic dance in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere making for an enjoyable and Social night.

Our first class of the evening is aimed for the complete Beginner so don’t panic if this is your first time you have taken to the dance floor. Our Intermediate Class is aimed to challenge the more experienced dancer. During the Intermediate class a review class will be held to bridge the gap.
